Does Eyes of York participate with my vision plan?
Eyes of York is a medical facility, we only participate with medical insurance plans. We can provide you with an itemized receipt if you wish to submit to your vision insurance.
Are there any out of pockets expenses due at my appointment?
Some insurance plans require copays for office visits and office testing. We are contractually obligated to collect your copays. It is our policy to collect copays at the time of your visit or testing. Some other out of pocket expenses may include deductibles and non-covered services such as refractions.
Do I need an insurance referral for my appointment?
Some insurance plans require referrals for appointments with specialists. These referrals are obtained by contacting your primary care physician. Some common insurance plan that require referrals are Keystone, Capital Blue Cross HMO, and Geisinger HMO. This is not a complete list of insurance plans that require referrals, please check with your insurance company to confirm.
