We have some important news to share. After 30 wonderful years of serving the York community as an ophthalmologist, Dr. Denise M. Visco is preparing to retire in December 2024. This bittersweet moment gives us the opportunity to reflect on her incredible contributions and the profound impact she has made on countless lives.
Throughout her career, Dr. Visco has exemplified dedication, compassion, and expertise. Her commitment to patient care has transformed the lives of many, and she has been a trusted provider for countless patients throughout our local community and beyond. Dr. Visco has witnessed the evolution of technology in our field and the changing needs of her patients. She has lectured nationally and internationally on topics such as refractive cataract surgery and postoperative care. With over 100 publications and presentations, she has made significant contributions to the field of ophthalmology. Additionally, she has actively participated in teaching and mentoring future eye care providers, and she plans to continue her volunteer work in ophthalmic organizations after retirement.
As Dr. Visco embarks on this new chapter in her life, we will always remember her passion for ophthalmology and her gentle approach to care. Together, we thank Dr. Visco for the impact she has had here at Eyes of York and for our valued patients just like you – her legacy will continue to inspire us for years to come.
