"My experience with Eyes of York to and after my cataract surgeries has been wonderful. I had two different lens implants; a Toric lens in my right eye to correct astigmatism and a standard lens implant in my left eye utilizing ORA OptiPlus. The treatment plan I developed with Dr. Visco prior to surgery met my expectations! In the 1990’s I had radial keratotomy in both eyes in an effort to eliminate my prescription. This procedure is done by making incisions on the corneal surface. Dr. Visco was very thorough and took much consideration into my prior ocular history. I am very pleased with my vision at distance and very happy with the quality of my near vision with the assistance of readers. Things are still coming along in my left eye as I am only two weeks out but overall I am please with my visual outcome. "I had cataract surgery with Dr. Benz on December 1, 2014 in my left eye. I opted for the High Definition package at the time of my surgery to correct astigmatism and customize my procedure.

I will admit that I was a little skeptical as to how much improvement I would have after surgery. Once I had the surgery I was made a believer! I can see such an improvement in my left eye compared to my right eye. I anticipate having surgery in my right eye in the near future and will also pursue High Definition with that surgery.

The surgery itself did not last long and I was comfortable during the procedure particularly when the laser was in use. I didn’t experience any pain during the procedure. Dr. Benz talked to me during the entire process and this made me so comfortable. I was aware of what was going on and he guided me throughout the process.

"I have had cataract surgery in both of my eyes. I opted for the high definition package at the time of my surgery to ensure that I wouldn’t have to rely on my glasses for things at distance. Before my cataract surgery, things were cloudy but now they are very clear. My glasses prescription before surgery had a higher amount of astigmatism and the laser was able to eliminate almost all of it! Dr. Benz made me aware of the fact that the laser would be able to get rid of most but not all of my astigmatism and I feel that my expectations were met based on the things he told me at the time of my evaluation. I plan to have a new pair of glasses made with my new prescription in case there is an instance that I want something to come in even sharper than what it would be with my naked eyes. "I met Dr. Lehn when I was referred by my eyeglasses maker because of elevated eye pressure. The first thing she did was tell me to stand up while she checked my eye pressure (so I was in a better position to check my pressure.) Viola! It was normal. I have been coming for years.
